The Middle Village Maspeth Civic Association is honored to join the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #32 President Pat Toro Jr., and all its members to help raise money and awareness for the proposed Vietnam Veteran's Memorial that will be erected in the new park proposed for the old Key Span gas tank site. This memorial will be dedicated to the brave men and woman from Queens who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country while serving in Vietnam.

"A year ago, I presented to the NYC Parks Department a request to have a 'Queens Vietnam Veterans War Memorial' included in the plans for the new park on the site of the old Key Span Gas Tanks. I made this request in the presence of the communities of Middle Village and Maspeth and I was humbled by their out pouring of friendship and support. I am honored to have the 'Middle Village and Maspeth Civic Association'join the 'Friends of the Queens Vietnam War Memorial' in helping to achieve our legacy."
